i downloaded a copy from suprnova, when extracted came to an .iso file of 4.19gb.

i burned the image on alcohol at 2X on verbatim dvd-r disc.

i have no solder mod chip and swap magic... when i loaded it, it took about 20secs, then the red border appeared.

what could be wrong?

u say u don't have a modchip?
i used a no-name brand dvd-r and it worked
btw i have a modchip

if i rented it from blockbuster... and burned image to HD... and burned that image to dvd-r ... would that work?? as in, make sure the file is not corrupt and stuf???

or blockbuster has protection on the dvd game/????

borrowing it from blockbuster you will be able to burn it and ive backed up a lot of games using DVD Decrypter and it always says no protection, i dont even think ps2 have protected games, y would they bother when there are programs like DVD Decrypter to remove the protection
