Burned AVI CD keeps crashing. Please help.

I'm trying to back up my AVI's on to CD but when I burn them and try to play them, the folder stops responding and crashes. I uninstalled and reinstalled nero, tried it again, it burned one CD and the rest i burn are useless. Burned an .bin.cue
worked fine. made a music CD won't play anywhere except computer.

Is it my computer or writer?
Please help.
