Im looking for help on how to get my ps2 to be able use a reguler hdd as an official $ony hdd. I dont want to copy games or do anything like that. I just dont want to spend 100$ on something that could cost 30.

you cant use a non sony hd to do the things the official one does (like play ff11, download new socom maps, etc.).
