SOrry I searched a while longer and managed to find the answer I was looking for

I'm wondering what the dangers are if any of burning at 2.4x using dvd+r's on a Version 10 with a DMS3 Plus ps2?

Meaning does it affect the ps2 laser or is does it just affect the dvd?

My burner can't go below 2.4 for some reason, and i've read on another post that it's because of the +r media is this correct?

I've always burnt at max speed and all of my discs work quite fine, I'd be interested to see what answer you found?
