Need help!!!..Problem with transfering VHS movies to DVD-R

I hope someone out there might be able to help me out here. I'm trying to transfer all my VHS movies into a DVD-R disc but keep having problems.

When i copy the movie from a VHS into the PC, everything goes smoothly. The problem only happened when I start to burn it into a DVD-R. The message " not enough space in disc" keeps coming out. My DVD-R is 4.7GB or 120 mins of play time.

Can someone out there help me... thanks
