are .mds and .mdf files like bin and cue files? if so can i just make them into an iso and ill have my backup?? if anyone knows how to make a back up with these files please let me know asap!

These images are created using Alcohol 120%. The .mds is the cuesheet. You can use MagicIso to convert to bin/cue if you want.

If it's an image for dvd, you can burn the .mds file using DVD Decrypter.
