Best DVD burner for backing up PS2 games?

After having several games damaged I am looking into purchasing a DVD burner to back-up my PS2 games. What are the best DVD burners to get or should I look into getting a dual-layer DVD burner? If this is on the wrong board I apologize.

pioneer work good. the most important thing is to use good quality media -r media burned at 1 or 2x.

Ritek G04 dvd-r's are the best. Never had a problem with them.
