Hey, I'm kinda of new to this whole modchip and hdloader thing, I just joined this forum last week and there are a lot of helpful posts. I have a few questions though. I just bought a Magic V 50K modchip and the HDLoader Advance 2.0. I haven't got my modchip installed yet, because I can't find anyone that can do it cheap. Anyways, my first question is this. I have backed up a few games so far to my ps2 from the orginal discs. I have a slide card that came with my HDLoader. I was wondering if there is anyway I can start a backup disc without a modchip installed using the slide card, or someother method. I don't have a swap magic. I've heard some people say it's possible with a GSv2, but I don't have one anymore. I have a v3 Codebreaker, a v8.0 codebreaker, and an AR MAX. I've been reading about Memory Card exploits, but I don't understand how they work, or what they do, etc. Something about a MAX DRIVE is required, I have a 128MB JumpDrive, but not a MAX DRIVE, so I don't know if that will work on the ARMAX, but it works on my v8 Codebreaker for Day 1 code files, etc. I'm pretty good at the slide card, it's very simple, but I just wanted to know if I could make backups and boot them somehow, being that I only have a 40GB Official Sony HDD, and it's just about full. Hopefully I'll get my modchip installed soon, but in the meantime if someone could help me I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
