It has been months since I last backed up a dvd. I started out using dvd shrink and nero and recorded a few movies. Picture quality was so so, then I d/l dvdcopy2 and anydvd and the PQ was much better. Since it was a trial I stopped and havent gone back to shrink. Has the PQ improved with shrink? Even though shrink is free Id rather pay for good PQ. What should I look for out there.
Since the thread was still here I'd thought I'd toss in my change - (sorry it's only 2 cents :)
Since August DVD Shrink has not only improved some it now does a better job than many $$$$ proggys,
Using the Deep Anylsis (very slow encoding) the quality went way, way up (the time was longer but it was worth it :) With the addition of Quality Enhancements settings it has surpassed many pay 4 proggys, Not my opinion, everyones -
Here's a guide, it's about mid-page and even gives some suggestions about settings - Since there's no way on Earth you can beat the price, why not take it out fior a spin, kick the tires and look under the hood. Follow the guide toi the letter and see what you think -
