Bought the dms3 couple months ago and went out of the country now i came back and theres like 2 newer versions out which sucks ass anyway. I followed the installation diagrams/procedures on the dms webpage and various other webpages on the net. I used the proper wiring and did my best to glue and organize the cables to the mod chip. I ran into a little problem with cable Q. I was soldering the cable to the point

... when i lift the tip of my soldering iron and the copper square lifts right off with it along with a couple milimeters of the painted on circuitry peels off the motherboard with it :( . anyway i fix this problem by scraping the motherboard a bit to expose some of the painted on circuitry and solder a cable from the remaining exposed cicuitry coming out of the dvd chip; i then route that cable to the mod chip. I solder a second cable to the Q point on the modchip and bring that one all the way back to the terminating point of the Q circuitry path. Let me tell u it was a bitch and words cant possibly explain it..i thought my ps2 was a deaded. So i do the rest of the points and other then cable Q...it results in a rather decent installation.
Down to the issue..I put my ps2 backtogether and test it out. PS1 backups boot properly but PS2 games dont boot at all???? it goes to that orange screen telling me to put in a proper cd.. also holding L1 to atempt to get to the dms explorer or dms flash what not doesnt function either. I have not tried a copied dvd movie because i am afraid my ps2 will blow up :X. Someone plz help me out ive taken this thing apart 4 times to check my connections. Any ideas will be appreciated...
