Problem with no solder mod-chip V4 or my PS2???

My PS2 stopped working for some reason. I'm using Swap Magic disc along w/ my no solder chip. When I hold the eject button, tray doesn't pop out anymore. Instead, my PS2 makes a high pitch noise for few seconds. I tried w/ my spare mod chip and still same problem. Any ideas?
