Hi, I am a newbie here. I have a problem, how do I convert my LD movie to DVD format, so that I can store them in DVD-R and watch on a conventional DVD player. I am using a Pioneer DVR-7000 DVD recorder and a Sharp LD player and a Panasonic and a Sony VHS recorder.

I have tried the method by trying to record them down on video tape from the LD player. When playback on the Sony VHS recorder, it works fine, but when I try playback on Panasonic VHS recorder and connected to the Pioneer DVD recoder, the image on the screen keeps jumping, unable to stabilise.

Then i try the method of connecting direcly from the Sharp LD player to the Pioneer DVD recorder, also the same, image keeps jumping up and down.

How do i solve the problem of storing my LD movie to DVD-R???
It is an urgent problem because i notice that my LD discs are beginning to melt, as the side of the discs become very sticky ( don't know what is the sticky stuff )
