Can anyway let me know if any of the 2X media burns at 4X without any problems,or where I can purchase 4X media in the UK
I have the Pioneer 105 DVD-R

maybe try the datasafe 2x.......that would be the one I`d have a bash at.

Ok I managed to get a few sample DVD-R's at my local computer fair today,
Bulkpaq only seen at 1X
Traxdata DVD-R (purple in colour) only seen at 1X,
White top,no name,only seen at 1X,
White labal DVD-RW seen at 1X,
Datawrite Classic does see it as a 2X disc!
However the first Data write classic disc I put it,came up with a calibration error,second one died about 15% into the burn,maybe a setting I did wrong for that though,but I'll keep you posted on my success!

PS I have managed to back up one DVD so far (only tried 2),it was on a silver top generic disc,burnt at 1X,played back in my PC and stand alone DVD no problem at all.
Ripped it with DVD X Copy,then copied it back in Nero!
