I backed up my copy, and after playing it for awhile a flashing disc appears with a question mark. In order for me to get the game to run again, I have to open the flip top and close it. I used dvd decrypter and hp disc at 1x. any ideas?

If not a lot of people have this, then it might just be you...

How far are you in the game...don't spoil it, but is it near the starting...the game did just come out...

the errors are random, i would say about 30 min into the game when you pass the croc. swamp.

I am having the same problem as well only my freezes every 5-10 sec for like a minute. Sucks I've tryed dvd decyptor and alcohol at 1x with memorex dvd-r. Friday im getting a new dvd burner hoping that will solve the problem.

By the way I beat it. Got to say its my favorite metal gear out of all of them even the nintendo version. Awesome game.
