This question might be a little involved, but if anyone could help me, I'd be very greatful. I've downloaded PS2 games in two types of formats, one as a .rar'd ISO then split, the other as a split ISO. I'm having no problem with the split .rar, but when I join the split ISO using Mastersplitter, some problems are cropping up.
I'm using swapmagic with a fliptop, btw.
After I join the split ISO, I'm left with a 'file' type file. What I've done is rename it, adding .iso to the end, which turns it into an ISO file, but at this point I've failed to get a working backup. If I select the file with DVD Decrypter, it throws up an error message saying the "file is an invalid or unsupported file type". If I select the file with Alcohol 120%, a setting selection box called "Image File Format Setting" pops up. In it I can manually set the Track format; Block size; Image header size; Image trailer size; and a box for 'data was scrambled already', 'and data contains edc/ecc info sections'.
Its always possible that these particular files are corrupt, but I've have 5 ISO's with the same problem. So can someone tell me what they do to get the PS2 backups that started out as a split ISO to work? Thanks.

Well, I did all of that, but when I click on 'start', a screen pops up telling me to insert blank media in my dvd burner. But on that screen it shows that Blank(dvd) is recognized as being in the drive. I've tried TDK DVD-r, Ritek G05 DVD-r, and Fujifilm DVD+r. Any ideas on this one?

I used TomaSoft MasterSplitter v. 4.1i unregistered. Is there a better app to use? Also, I have DVD D and love it, the problem is that it won't recognize the file that I've joined as a "valid or supported file format". Which makes me think that something is lacking in my joining process.

I have both of them, I use both of them, but neither of them can join split files. My question is, what app do people use to join a split ISO, so that it comes together as a recognized file format.
