How do I burn downloaded movie clips?

Hello! My first post here. I am a newbie to DVD burning stuff.

I am trying to burn downloaded movies. I have Nero, and have followed the wizard to burn, and the burning seems to be going ok until I try to play the dvd in my player. Nothing! Not even an error message. I have used my DVD burner to burn pix and data, but I just cannot get the dvd to play. Note: During the dvd burning process the light on my burner is not flickering, which it usually does when the burner is functioning correctly! What could be the problem? Any help would be appreciated.
