Hey, can anyone help me out?

I have a PS2 and it won't play DVD's or DVD-formatted games, but it'll play PS1 games, blue disks, and CD's.

Any help would be great. :)

try adjusting the laser and cleaning it. If that does not work bring it in somewhere to get it fixed for about $50 i think

You have to open up your ps2 first and then you'll see a cover that has a warning sign on it. open that part and clean the laser with a q-tip and some Isopropyl rubbing alcohol or you could just use a can of air and spray inside. to adjust the lens you will see some thing that can bet turned by turning it you can make the lens high and lower keep trying and adjusting it different hights and it should hopefully work.

Make shure the ps2 is upluged then plug it in when your going to try it because you don't want an electric shock or something.

I tried spinning the thing, but the lens wouldn't move.

Also, I noticed whenever I put in a DVD/DVD-formatted game, the disk will spin for a second, then stop. And it'll do that for about 4-5 more times, then it'll start spinning, and then stop.
