Xenosaga FMV's Don't Run

Since Xenosaga uses the DVD-9 technology, I extracted the image to my PC first using DVD-Decrypt. Then afterward, I connected the HD (Maxtor 120GB) to my computer (locally) and copied the game to the HD using WinHIIP 1.6.3

HDAdvance loads Xenosaga just fine. However, whenever a cutscene in game (the prerendered ones) is about to occur, the screen fades-out and fades-in, then all I can see is the scene before the fades-out with the minimap in the bottom-right corner. I can manipulate the arrow in the mini-map, I can view the menu by pressing the Triangle button, and I can pause the game. But other than those, the cutscene doesn't happen.

By using the original DVD, I can view the cutscene fine. I have tried using Mode 3 with Xenosaga, but that doesn't solve the problem.

To be exact, I loaded a previous save-game right before going to Proto Merkabah (the last stage). By talking to the captain on the bridge, I initiated the cutscene, but the screen went black, but the mini-map was still visible.

Another example, using the DVD, I got into Proto Merkabah. The problem occurs again for the cutscene behind the room with huge doors, which is accessible from the room after the room with the holographic image of the stars in the galaxy.

Is there a work-around for this problem? Xenosaga is not listed under the incompatibility list, so I cannot be certain that it is indeed incompatible with HDAdvance.
