I am a fool, I have an xbox that the hard drive locked down. I bought an Ice chip and installed on my verified version 1.1
I formated and unpartition a old drive out of my p.c.
I installed the mod chip No problem.
I ran system error code 16
I put in my old hard drive and it ran halo 2 for 6 hours
restarted and error 07
I reinstalled my p.c. maxtor hd
and only get xenium dash, and when I hit disk tools, I get a panic crash
I downloaded slayersv2.6 read everything 4 times
made a cd rw memorx
and tried to boot it to no avail.
Do I need a bios cd for ice chip?
have I runed my Xbox.
P.S. My brother couldn't stand it any more and went to wall-mart and bought another new xbox.

I ran system error code 16
- Error 16 means no dashboard present which is understandble since you had a blank formatted drive. Try installing a dashboard for starters..

- Booting a game from DVD bypasses the HD. Error 7 means the drive isn't locked. Error 7 only occurs when you're booting from the retail bios with an unlocked HD.

- Most Xenium ICE chips ship with a beta version of the Xenium OS. Burn this ISO to a CDRW http://teamxodus.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=getit&lid=31 and after inserting the CD, select "Recovery" in the Xenium Menu. This version of Xenium OS won't crash.

- Understadable since you don't have a bios on it yet.

- Yes, get the Xecuter2 4983 bios and flash your Xenium with it. You have not ruined your Xbox.
P.S. My brother couldn't stand it any more and went to wall-mart and bought another new xbox.
- Return it and be thankful of Wal-Mart's return policy.
