Please forward my regards to Gear. Jerry, I can't believe people like her still exist, couldn't imagine letting my kids out of my sight either, let alone run around behind me in traffic.

I agree with ddp. Some might not find the link humorous.
The link is http://xx.xxxxx.org/imagecrash.html (disabled link because it effects user system) and below is the text.
Quote: Large image causes BSOD (bluescreen of death)
Created by RSnake and brought to you by xx.xxxxx.org
We have no affiliation with anyone who would have sent you to this image crash demonstration page inadvertantly.
Why aren't you seeing a blue screen of death BSOD right now? You are probably using an OS other than Windows oorrr you have a video driver that is smart enough to detect an infinite loop when it is running out of memory or video card that can handle this (because it has enough memory) ooorr you are using a image resizing script built into your browser. MS and the affected video driver manufacturers have not yet issued a patch to my knowledge (if you hear differently please email me).
Firefox is currently working on it because of the sheer number of copycat sites that have picked this up. See more details here. I found this playing with image resizing scripts when it caused serious performance issues. Update: The latest version of Internet Explorer (6.0 SP2) with full patches seems to have fixed this issue.
If you just want a headache, click here to screw your machine up (be warned, this will really suck). Oh well, go to xxxx.net for some laughs or to http://xx.xxxxx.org to see the rest of the site.
Also, feel free to subscribe to my RSS feed.
Edit: Post edited to disable links to prevent accidental system malfunction on some OS(s).

Reverse psychology works. LOL Saying don't often elicits do. I'm sometimes guilty of that type behavior. I do try to try away from hacker attacks though. Some people may not get as far as you and only see the BSOD. Luckily the link Janrocks supplied was more for showing what can be done with security holes in MS than a malicious attack. These only require a reboot to stop the action. A truly malicious attack would be there when you reboot the PC.

Most updated MS systems won't get the BSOD, I'm not sure about using the Firefox browser. The link (click here to screw your ocmputer up)says it will truly mess with your machine and should. That one is an email exploit in Outlook Express. I've seen it before and it works. Nothing serious, but you'll probably need to reboot.

How old is that original quote? Been running IE 7.0 and Firefox for a while now, probably explains why so few saw Mr. BSOD.

The image problem causing the BSOD was fixed but the Outlook Express exploit still causes problems. If you don't think so, give it a try. As I mentioned before, this hack is just annoying with no residual effects after a reboot. As you can see, billybob is still with us. ;)

ctrl, alt, del is the keystroke command to reboot in the older Windows OS. In XP it turns on the Task Manager.
Since the links were already posted I guess there's nothing wrong with showing the link to the Outlook Express hack. As Billybob found, this one will really mess with most systems.
http://xx.xxxxx.org/weird/popup.html
The only annoyance most people have is needing to reboot to stop the exploit. As per ddp's request to Janrocks, this comes with a warning. Don't hit the link if you don't want to lose control of your PC.
ddp
Was that one of the links that didn't bother your OS?
Edited: disabled link as it will mess with some systems.

A man was sitting on the edge of the bed, observing his wife, looking
at herself in the mirror. Since her birthday was not far off he asked
what she'd like to have for her Birthday.
"I'd like to be six again", she replied, still looking in the mirror.
On the morning of her Birthday, he arose early, made her a nice big
bowl of Lucky Charms, and then took her to Six Flags theme park. What a
day!? He put her on every ride in the park; the Death Slide, the Wall of
Fear, the Screaming Monster Roller Coaster, everything there was.
Five hours later they staggered out of the theme park. Her head was
reeling and her stomach felt upside down..
He then took her to a McDonald's where he ordered her a Happy Meal
with extra fries and a chocolate shake.
Then it was off to a movie, popcorn, a soda pop, and her favorite
candy, M&M's. What a fabulous adventure! Finally she wobbled home with her
husband and collapsed into bed exhausted. He leaned over his wife with
a big smile and lovingly asked, "Well Dear, what was it like being six
again?"
Her eyes slowly opened and her expression suddenly changed. "I meant
my dress size, you idiot!"
The moral of the story: Even when a man is listening, he is gonna get
it wrong.

An Engineering Problem To Ponder
Problem: A backhoe weighing 30 tons is on top of a flatbed trailer
heading east on Interstate 70 near Hays, Kansas. The extended shovel
arm is made of hardened refined steel and the approaching overpass is
made of commercial-grade concrete, reinforced with 1½ inch
steel rebar spaced at 6 inch intervals in a criss-cross pattern
layered with 1 foot vertical spacing.
Solve: When the shovel arm hits the overpass, how fast does the
Trailer with the backhoe have to be going to slice the bridge in half?
(Assume no headwind and no braking by the driver who is oblivious
of the situation.)
Extra Credit: Solve for the time and distance required for the
entire rig to come to a complete stop after hitting the overpass at
the speed calculated above.
Answer: Scroll down.......
Answer - It doesn't really matter... The point is that the trucking
company just bought themselves a bridge.
I said this was an engineering problem. Unless you are wearing a
pocket protector, you may be scratching your head right now wondering
why you wasted 20 seconds reading this....

New security system for ya!!
HOW TO INSTALL A HOME SECURITY SYSTEM IN THE SOUTH:
1. Go to a second-hand store and buy a pair of men's work boots, used, size 14-16.
2. Place them on your front porch, along with a copy of Guns & Ammo Magazine.
3. Put a few giant dog dishes next to the boots and magazine.
4. Leave a note on your door that reads:
Hey Bubba, Big Jim, Duke and Slim: I went for more shotgun shells and to pick my check up from the slaughterhouse. I should be back in an hour. Don't mess with the Pit Bulls--don't know what got into them, but they attacked the mailman this morning and messed him up real bad. I don't
think Killer took part in it but it was hard to tell from all the blood. Anyway, I locked all four of 'em in the house.
Better wait out here on the porch. "Cooter"
Thought this was funny. LOL. Enjoy!!
