I want to know if this is possible.
-I have 2 xboxes. One modded so I can do testing, the other is not modded. The HDD in my unmodded xbox failed. I was using the HDD from my modded xbox in my computer. I now want to take that HDD and use it in the unmodded xbox.

-I put the original xbox HDD in my modded xbox, and formatted it using Slayers. I ran the setup for original retail HDD. After it was complete, I made sure that it was locked by manually locking it with Slayers lock option. I tested the drive in the modded xbox, and worked both with the mod on, and off.

I then swapped the HDD to the other xbox (without the mod) and it booted to the error screen telling you to contact microsoft....

-In short....I want to know if it's possible to take a retail xbox HDD (that has been formatted to work in a computer), then reformat it... so that it will work in a different unmodded xbox.

If anyone knows if this is possible...please let me know what I am doing wrong.
