Upgrading HD Loader to HD Advance or using MC exploit for HD Loader

I currently have an unmodded Silver PS2 with HD Loader, and I would like to use the MC Exploit from my memory card. If I loaded the HD Advance on my memory card would that work somehow? Or is there a way to substitute HD Advance for the HD loader if I can only use HD Loader?
Any help appreciated thanks.
