I got the xecuter 2.6 with the solderless adapter (not 100% confident in my soldering capabilities). I have searched the net for a good tutorial on how to properly do the install, but haven't found a good one yet....any suggestions?

Try the team xecuter site, just search for team xecuter in google, it's their product so you're best looking at their tutorials.
