hi there, i'm sure this subject has been brought up but my games are all freezing AFTER the game has started and i'm playing.
then i hear this really bad clicking noise. i have no problem with taking the system apart to fix it(again) but would like to know what i'm looking for. i have cleaned the laser already to no avail. would appreciate any help from you experts out there. thanks!!!

is it a fast clicking sound?

if it is its the laser guide arm slipping from the worm gear. If it is a plastic one replace it costs about £5.

if it is a metal one in V9 take the laser out and GENTLY bend the arm down so it exerts more force on the worm gear. If it rightly f****d replace it for about £5 also.

if its a clicking coming from your laser then it prob either needs the azimuth screw adjusted or the tangiential white cog at the back. if not just get a new one.

think it has tutorials on how to change laser etc.

READ UP ON HOW TO CORRECTLY CHANGE A LASER!!!!

I didnt and killed a v9 ps2 :(

If you buy a new laser remove a small piece of solder located underneath the laser before you fit it. If you dont then its bye bye ps2.
