Problem with Nvidia Video Capture (WDM) Software

I decided to try and connect my analog video camera to my PC to see if I could record some old video footage onto my machine for editing. However I soon realised that I required a software installation before I could proceed any further. I downloaded the latest version of the WDM driver from Nvidia's website as my video card is the GeForce 5200. After installing it the new WDM deice in the device manager on Win XP came up with an alert stating an error code 10 and that the device cannot start. Searching on the web I noticed a lot of other people are having the same problem across a range of Nvidia cards and different versions of Windows without having a conclusive answer of how to resolve the issue. I was wondering whether anyone else is currently experiencing this and whether they have over come the problem. It is really frustrating especially as Nvidia do not take any responsibility for issues with their products. Any help on this subject would be most appreciated.
