I have fitted a swap magic flip top to my PS2(model no SCPH-30003) and have trouble with slow loading and disc read errors when i load and play back up games. I am currently using DVD+R discs, should i be using DVD-R instead ? Straight after burning a game it seems to work ok for a while but then deteriats within days, i have tried cleaning the disc and laser and even tried adjusting the hight of the laser with no difference,

I use Verbatim Data Life Dvd+r. They work fine on my ps2.. I have the same model as you.
Use dvd decrypter. iso read > iso write
And use quality media. cheapo media skips alot when playing.

Why did you post this question here instead of the ps2 section??

hey and1jm, A buddy of mine burns a lot of games on his ps2. He prefers the -tdk's. He also uses verbatim -Digital movie discs. He said coudn't use sony "figure that". His ps2 is picky, but his x-box will play anything. I have been trying to get him to sign up here,but he won't.I am like most people here, Quality media major cure for problems.
