hi can anybody tell me a modchip i should buy to play burned games off the internet and backed up games

yes it does..

i recommend getting a FLIP TOP cover and swap magic discs. thats what i use and it works fine.

also is there a site that tells you modchip installers near you. what should i look under in my phone book. is the swap magic cd's and the other thing work. what do u do.

u install it urself... its VERY simple.

there are many of instruction manuals online... do a search on google for flip top installation.

ps2fliptop.com i think has it. and swap magic disc is just the swap disc.

u only need to hire some mod chip installer if u gonna solder something.

if you buy the fliptop and SwapMagic disks, you dont have to solder anything.

Depends on where you are, USA uses NTSC. I know gocybershop has them in kits or seperate. I think they are located in Canada though.

Hey im in Canada and im going today to get my neo ripped out and magic installed, im assuming since I have a version 4 ps2 that i have to get magic 3.1 chip, I was just wondering im having tonnes of trouble getting my games to boot with my neo and gameshark now but when I get my magic chip I shouldnt have any problems right? I mean im burning them with DVD Decrypter the way everyone says to on this forum. I just wanted ppls opinions of this chip and personal reviews, word of mouth is the best advertisement IMO. anything would be appreciated, thanx a lot, Giancarlo

That top is for v9 & 10. Just make sure that's what you have. Use their version chart on that page to make sure. And yes get NTSC.

I have a flip top cover and swap disc which works great with ps2 games but i have had problems of freezeups..A few games load and when i hit start they freeze can anyone tell me why ???i also know someone who sent theres out and had the soldered chip installed and it works great no swap disc needed ....spent over $100 any one use this method?
