i am waiting for my smd and ftop to come in but i wanted to get a backup made before it got here. now i created an image with alcohol 120 and then burned it to a memorex dvd+r. i have a ps2 model sc.. 3001 R. i had a plan to load the backup. so i put the original game in and completely got the game loaded. then i opened the tray using the knife trick of moving the white tab. i put my backup in and it didnt work. i would like for someone who has working backups to try this.
Your going to screw up your ps2 doing that. You can't do it without a boot disc. The cd/dvd is still spinning when you tried, so it wont work, and it will screw somthing up.
well the disk wasnt spinning b/c the ps2 reads ahead and if you dont do anything in a game the disk will not be spinning. but if it cant be done without the boot disc it cant be done.
