Xbox Banning Due To Drive Size?
>> From www.teamxtender.com
[QUOTE]
Currently there are issues with people getting banned on Xbox live for a number of reasons. There are many reasons people think of that this is happing... here are the following reasons:
1. The Marriage Theory: When you go on XBL with an Xbox MS marries your EEPROM to your HD serial in their database. ~Gumba
2. LPC scan: checks to see if you have a modchip installed.
3. HD contents check: checks to see if you have any illegal code on your C: and E: partions of your Xbox...

We personally tested all theories and the only one that makes sense is the marriage theory. The only real way to not get banned is by of course using an original HD while not having the chip enable...

The xtender allows you to install 3 hard drives, but because of recent events... it makes sense to have your original hard drive in the Xbox and expand on top of it. Using the xtender will allow you to switch hard drives on the fly with little fear of getting banned. The only way you could get banned with the xtender is if you fail to shut off the chip AND your bios do not support Xbox live blocking...The time has come to take action now before you get banned. Changing EPROM?s and getting a new original hard drive can prove difficult. So chancing it is not in the best interest of people looking for live compatibility.

To all our current customers... keep the original hard drive on 1st selection and the hacked ones on the other 2nd and 3rd for now...

Is this just a myth? Anyone out there with large hard drives still getting on Live no problem? Thanks.

I have been playing on Live with a large drive, no problems.

I believe in the "marriage" theory, so as long as you signed up with the drive you're playing with, you should be ok. Since I signed up on Live with my 60gig, I can't upgrade or downgrade it now.
