I been reading alot about this making backups, and I already spent alot of money on DVD-/+R's just to find out their not capable of burning on my burner, or will burn on my burner but not play on my PS2.

So everybody who reads this thread, take the time to let us know what works.

Burner: (Name)
Media you have/use: (Name/Media ID/Speed)

PS2 Version: (Number)
Media that plays on you PS2: (Name/Media ID/Speed)
Media that doesnt play on your PS2: (Name/Media ID/Speed)

I'll get back with mines later tonight. Maybe this will help us out later and others will know what media to buy.

writers used pioneer 105/106 now 108

ri disc ritek g04 dvd-r 4x
white printable ritek g04 dvd-r
silver printable ritek g04 dvd-r
jvc and verbatim dvd+r with ricohjpn id
white printable dvd-r media with id tyg02

all dvd-r burnt at 2x and +r burnt at 2.4x

all these play in my v7(scph39003) and my v4(scph30003)although the -r discs seem to perform better than the +r in the v4

im thinking of purchasing a pioneer 108... their ridiculously cheap in canada at like 99$
