I followed the directions on how to rip and back up using shrink but it wouldn't let me back up. I got a message that had to do with a css problem. What should I do?

Try using DVD Decrypter in File mode to rip to your hard drive first. It seems to have more muscle than DVD Shrink on certain DVDs. Then use DVD Shrink as you normally would to edit your movie.
