Bad burn/media or chip?

Games that i backed up such as Metal Gear solid soons of liberty, MLB2004, NBA Street Vol2, FFX, and Devil May Cry all get boot up but get stuck in either the intro of the game or when i start a new game. I use TDK and Mermorex DVD+r and burn at 2.4x using DVD Decrypter or Nero. I booth using AR2.I have gotten other games to work such as naruto, viewtiful joe, capcom vs. snk, thp3 and shome others. I was wondering if the problems with the backups are the burn, media, or the chip or boot method or something else that is wrong that i dont no about? My burner cant burn DVD-R and the other games that work are on DVD+R. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
