Ok so I backed up one copy with dvddecrypter, everything normal, burn at 1x, it works fine until you get to like a room or out of a room where it loads. What should take around 10seconds takes literally 5minutes, as well as errors in sections such as little loading screens popping up in places for around a second.
Then I tried burning the image again, same thing. So then I edited dvddecrypters read speed to 1x which ended up being 2.4x, and the same things happened.
I have a ps2 v6 with a magic 3.1 modchip
The game had some light scratches on it.
Does anyone know the reason for this? Or how to fix it.
Thanks heaps, Dyce.

oh, and I'm using Ritek G04 Dvd+R
As I was looking over old threads with the same issue, could it quite possibly be that riteks are the problem with the burning of this game?

Wait you said you are using Ritek G04 DVD-R's right because there are no G04 +R's. If you did get those discs like that there is a possible chance that they might be fake. My backup worked read my thread on media I used etc. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/129832 Also just try different DVD-R media usually higher quality media on games like GTA:SA are a good choice because of extreme amounts of loading.

well umm I wasn't sure they were G04 lol, i just assumed as its not on the box, they're the 4x dvd+r.
And although I have a dual burner for some unknown reason my Liteon SOHW-832S does not burn dvd- on any programs!
So I guess I'll have to get some dvd-'s to work! argh, computers are so annoying sometimes.

Hmm... DVD-R's not working?... DyceBeats update your LiteOn SOHW-832S firmware, heres a link to a good firmware update http://codeguys.rpc1.org/firmwares.html go down on the page and download "VS0E - stock - unscrambled" patch you drive and then update the results.
