how to play back uped games in a play station 2

I did back ups on some of my original play station 2 games into a dvd+rw, and it is patched.
how can I play my back up game in the play station, because it does not work.
do i need a chip or i can use it without a chip

Mod chip is probably best, and easiest. You can also use swap disc, though this is more fiddly.

First off, you either need some sort of modchip or swap magic. Second i would recommend burning your games to a dvd-r not rw and also use good media when burning dvd backups. Good media is something like verbatim, ritek, TDK, stuff like that. Swap Magic is a kind of external modchip where you boot up a disk and then swap it with an original.

Its like this. First of all you have to take off the cd tray cover, it is clipped on and you just have to unclip it. There are many tutorials on this on the website you just have to look.
1. put in swap magic dvd version
2. let the disk load, then open your tray with the slide card(comes with swap magic) and switch it with your burned game.
3. Push your cd tray back in and then lock the tray by pulling the slide card to the left.
4. Press X and the backup will load.
