While nothing new about Sonic being in SSB:B has been confirmed, Sonic and Mario will be in the same game together this Winter:

I think this game is going to be huge. Since it's a sports title, I sort of see it being like Sega&Nintendo's answer to Wii sports. Hopefully it will have online, and much more in-depth sporting action. This is HUGE!

Hi1 I am new here and I made a site with all the characters I wanna see in SSBB.
There are only six but each one has its own 3D picture AND moveset. Its a must-see!!

...uh...its very descriptive and all...but...paratroopa, goomba, and dry bones are kinda of copying each other...I mean...they ALL have like 20 different moves that involve kicking...and personally, i dont think they would be good in brawl...(maybe dry bones though).
goomba...a brown mushroom with feet and NO hands.
paratroopa...well...50% if his attacks are KICKS...and when did you see paratroopas shoot spikes from their shells? Bowser HAS spikes on his back and HE doesn't even shoot them.
i forgot to mention toad...he can't just get a random piece of bamboo from nowhere...and random hammer too...and once again...TOO many kick moves...and small...i diffenitly dont think he can lift up bowser...
other than that, its fine.

i really think they should add sonic,goku,and mastercheif i mean if solid snake gets to be in there why not cheif he would beat the crap out of snake

Unfortunately, there will be an Animal Crossing character because the newly-announced "Smashville" level is from Animal Crossing.
My character suggestions:
Sonic- It is possible that he will be a playable character because the Japanese site says: "In order for a third party character to be in Brawl, he/she will have had to appear in at least one Nintendo game." Sakurai also mentioned that he will add 1 or 2 more third party characters. I forgot 2 more things; not all characters from Melee are returning, and 2. all third party characters are "secret characters," including Snake.
Ridley from Metroid
King DeDeDe from Kirby games
King K. Rool from D.K. games
Poo from Earthbound
One more pokemon. I don't follow pokemon, so I don't know who.
Captain Olimar from that stupid Pikmin series
Geno from Super Mario RPG
Waluigi
Master Chief from Halo series. Just think about it!
Crono from Chrono Trigger
MegaMan (self-explanatory)
Birdo
Petey Piranha...???
Shy Guy...???
Skull Kid from The Legend of Zelda series
Black Shadow from the f-Zero series

they should add "dark samus" to ssbb
here's the reason why they should put her in it:
even though samus and zero suit samus r in it. because if they have mario and they will/maybe put luigi in it too. both of them almost has the same move and dr. mario from melee also has the similar to mario. same thing with link and young link in melee. that's y dark samus should be in it too. since the metroid prime series r very popular and it would be cool to see wat kind of ability does dark samus has on the upcoming ssbb

MegaMan or Zero or both for sure. Melee had like 5 swordfighters, why can't we have Zero since apparently Young Link, Roy, and Marth are gone, leaving Link and a new Fire Emblem character. MegaMan is just awesome. The X version would be best, but classic MegaMan ( with Rush adaptor for special attacks) and Battle Network MegaMan would be cool too.
I'm curious to see how the Pokemon Trainer character works out

I think they should make Goemon a playable character in Super smash bros brawl. He's a really random character and that has ninja skills. He also was in several fun nintendo 64 games and Gameboy advance games. I think Nintendo could easily make attacks for him. Overall I think that Goemon is a cool colorful character who I think will attract many people to playing as him.

alright guys, the cool characters that should be in brawl are Megaman X, Prince of Persia, Cloud, Lloyd, Fierce Diates Link, Dixie Kong, Zero, Leon Kennedy. ok now some really rediculus charcters that have like no chance of being in it, Illidan, Master Chief, Goku, and... uhh.. i cnat think of anything else right now so ya
