dude, you are so wrong. i have 3.11 firmware, and i decrypted it no problem...i have the files right here on my computer. and i would post them, other than the fact that its illegal

Can someone PLEASE help these noobs learn how to read the entire thread before posting?
Put forth a little effort, read the post and come to the conclusion that there is no downgrader yet for 3.1/3.11.
I hate wasting my time repeating what has been covered here 1,000 times. Be patient, and read some other threads about homebrew or customization while you wait for the downgrader.

I know very little about this, so I could be wrong, but I think the decrypter helps people create custom firmwares. You cannot downgrade with it though.

well they don't like that, but if everyone started using homebrew, u wouldn't have to buy games, u could live off actual free stuff that isn't pirated. and besides, homebrew also includes emulators, so most people pirate other games, like gba and gb as well

sony cares about pirating games if people buy pirated games then sony wont make any money i'm not so sure about homebrew.

also i think psp will release software that we use in homebrew. So they make less money in that too. But what thy dont know is if they let homebrew be allowed people would buy it over other game systems.

Well, since it's unlikely we'll ever see a 3.11 downgrader, I've decided to be one of those to hold my nose and upgrade to 3.30. Now, probably with my luck, they'll finally release the 3.11 downgrader, and then I'll be stuck with 3.30. Oh well, if that happens, I'll just buy another refurbished PSP from GameStop and make it homebrew capable.
BTW, I looked for the UMD speed selector, but couldn't find it. Guess is wasn't really included among the changes.

yeah I think it's definitely true that there prolly won't be a 3.11 downgrader, but if they did come out with one, they'd prolly have to come out with a HEN...which is still kinda cool (not as cool as DaX's Custom FW)
p.s. I'll betcha that if this thread is closed, there will be another one titled "psp 3.30 downgrader" within a day or two. ALSO, for newbs who are about to post: notice that it says "REPLY TO THREAD; blah blah (READ WHOLE THREAD BEFORE POSTING)" at the top of your screen........just thought I'd throw that out there.
