I turned on the Playstation 2, put on a the ORIGINAL game. After it loaded, I opened the PS2 and switched discs, to the decrypted one. And to my suprise the game worked like nothing happend, like the original game was still on! My guess is that there is a way to play backup games without any extra equipment (mondchips)needed. Does anyone know how?
Heh that is called a TOC refresh which is still used for booting games for the PS2.It doesn't change anything your system still has to run that check off the disc to boot a game.It can't be done without modchip, swap methods because of the actual drive is only capable of direct boot pressed discs. The only way I can see this ever happening is if you have a pressing machine which is impossible to get unless you are rich.
