I have been having problems with some of my backups that all worked before. I could not figure out why as I have cleaned the ps2 and everything, then I thought that the differce is maybe that I put a label on them, I can't remeber if they stopped working after the label or before. does anyone know if this causes problems? I use verbatim dvd+r's on a v4. and they have always worked.

That definitly can cause a problem in a lot of DVD players as well as the PS2. Remove the labels if possible. It's not easy to do. Also try not to get any glue on the other side it does seem to happen when your cleaning the label off.

Good luck

You can try soaking the label side in warm water or even rubbing alcohol but use that at your own risk. This is not a good idea if you intend to do more then one or two discs as it takes a long time. It's alot easier to do the movies or games over.
