Hey guys, n00b here. I already searched, but I couldn't find an answer.
I haven't been able to get any backups working with my fliptop PS2.
I am using Ridata DVD-R's and DVD Decrypter 3.5.1. Tried at least 6 different games and none of them work.
Every time I boot up with the Swap Magic disk, the PS2 freezes when I insert the backup and hit X to boot. The edge of the screen turns blue so it should'nt be a bad burn, right?
Could my Swap Magic disk be bad?
Someone please help me out... I am about to give up on this.

i'm sorry to tell u that the swap magic discs are crap. I bought them and to was very disapointed with their quality. I had the same problem. If you really want to back up games, i recomend the hdloader. I bought one soon after the swap discs and i am very happpy with it.

Thats not true. Swap Disc arent crappy. You just have to have the right media that corresponds with you PS2. Its probably Ritek G05's you have tried burning with. I had bought some Riteks as well and they didnt work. I now have about 45 disc that Im keeping for movies I quess.
I heard Ritek G04's and Taiyo Yudens are good burns for the PS2.
Im having a problem finding good media right now but the last week I've been reading and chatting to addicts in forums and been learning things.
I have tried Princo, TDK, Sony, Ritek G05.
Hope this info helps.

Also optopdiscro4, or tdk ttgo2 are fine. No failures yet. Well one headhunter but thats cuz my pc restarted.
And swap magic isn't rubbish. it's the same thing as the smart cartridge for ps1 only with out the card in the back. SM rules.

I wouldn't recommend getting 8x media because they're known to cause problems. I use memorex and maxell (DVD-R). They work fine for me.
