Does DVDLoaderv7all work with version 5 PS2?

Ive been reading lot of threads but none of the thread say anything about another version of DVDLOadder. I'm just afraid that if the Dvdloader v7 doesn't work with my version 5 PS2 then i will waste my disc.
My other question is that, can you boot your dvd game with the CDloader instead. I meant like
1. dvd v2 swap disc
2. cd loader v5
3. back up
Will it work? Or is it must be dvdloader for dvd games and only cdloader for cd games.
Please help, thanks.

dvd loader v7 all should work fine on a v5 ps2 and you can use cd loader to boot dvd backups, to use cd loader you boot swap cd and swap for cd loader by flip/slide, press x, cd loader boots, press eject and insert swap dvd, wait for it to say ps2 dvd in lower left of tv screen, press x, wait for swap by ea method prompt, swap for dvd backup by flip/slide and prees x
