Flip Top Problems (please help)

I have recently installed a flip top to my PS2, but I'm having all kinds of trouble. It keeps making all these terrible noises, and my game disc keeps popping up. I've tried placing the white hub thing on the game but still no luck. I've tried playing the PS2 vertical still no change. And if I have to tighten and loosen another screw, I'm going to break the thing in half. I think the problem is that the laser keeps popping up my games, does any one no how to fix that? Or have any helpful suggestions that my help besides throwing it away

are you using the white piece that came with your fliptop or the one that was in your ps2?

The one from my PS2, the flip top doesn't come with a white hub
