Question About Installing Evolution X dashboard??

Hey guys just had a quick question about installing evox while using Xenium Ice OS V2.0. I've read a bunch of tutorials that require you to change the default.xbe to xboxdash.xbe is this still required using the ICE chip? Since I am going to back up the TSOP and someday may want to load the original dash? Is it possible to just copy the original evox files, flash a BIOS Bank and still succesfully load EVOX? Any help would be appreciated i'm knew to modding and want to be careful.
