I'm hoping someone can help me get my phone to talk to my PC. Here's what I got:

- I'm running Win 98se (I know, I'm old school)
- I have v 3.11
- I have the SKN6311 cable from Motorola
- When the PT asks me to connect my phone, it sees that I have connected it and starts spinning the clock.
- After a while, it shows a phone (not the v505) and than continues to say "Initializing" on the screen.
- I try adding a new phone from the menu and add it as a standard modem but there is always a communication error.
- In my device manager, under Unknown Devices it lists the V505 when its connected
- I've scoured around for the apropriate drivers and updates but I'm running into walls.

Can anyone help?

Add the 551 (it's in 3.11H) and you should be fine. The new 3.19 version has the V505, but I haven't been able to update to it yet.
