I have two questions

1. Is it true that Action Replay and Gameshark 2.0 and older will work as a boot disk (many people in these forums say they will where as others contradict)

2. How EXACTLY do you use a slide card without the ps2 knowing you are doing so and without breaking anything? (in great detail) {I already know you take the front cover off)

Question one: yes you can, here are some instructions

go to http://www.a1chips.com/booting.html#4
and click on "other booting procedures and try some, I havent
read through this all so it is just a suggestion, or you could
google around for some info

ohh I dont know which versions though, and swap magic has
a higher success rate

Q2: The reason the PS2 doesn't know is because you haven't
triggered it to know, it knows when you press the eject
button.
the slide card presses on a tab which moves the disc tray by
prying it, so it slowly wears away at your disc tray mechanics
and motor.
