I am new to the board and i am thinking of modding my playstation 2 and have some questions if you guys would help me it would be great.

1) Will a mod chip mess up my PS2 like it did PS1
2) what is different between a backup and origanal
3) I have nero what other program will i need to back up games
4) will I be able to Play online
5) Same questions for x Box (Mainly will i be able to play online)
6) What are some of the problems anybody has had.
7) How much should i pay for a mod chip
