Couldn't you just slide an original ps2 game in the new flip top ps2 and have it reconize that bar code and then pop in the burn't copy of your ps2 game and shouldn't it play?

Are you trying to avoid buying a swap disc? Well, by your method, it doesn't stop for you to make the swap. By having the swap disc, it only boots up your PS2 right before loading up the game.
