Could someone please explain what the MC exploit is for? From what I've read so far from several sources, it sounds like it allows you to boot back-ups with an unmodded PS2 and WITHOUT Swap Magic (used only ONCE to create the exploited MC); is this correct? Thanks.

i'm fairly new to it myself, but yeah, you're right. once you get the exploit onto the memory card then you can access your hdd backup games anytime you want without needing a swap disc or hdloader.

This only applies to CD based PS2 games tho, right? I read from swapmagicfix.com that you'd still need the Swap Magic DVD disc for DVD based games. Could someone clarify on this? Thanks.

You can load the cogswap loader, and then use an original dvd to refresh the toc, and then swap for dvd back-up

this will not work on games that require the 5v3nopn option on dvd loader

if you use winhiip, and put the games on your HDD via computer...then who would want to use dvd backups? They're slow.
