why does kazaa have 8000 items of mine in others when i havent downloaded anything yet

This means that you have specified a directory(s) to be shared which has 8000 files in it. Kazaa doesnt just share what you download, it will share anything your your "My Shared Folder" and any other folder you specify to be shared. Still though, 8,000 sounds like a lot of files to be in other and definetly a lot to be in just one directory! Make sure you arent sharing your program files folder or your windows folder or something!
