Does the version of gameshark2 matter for booting games on ps2? I am planning on purchasing a new GameShark2 online for 19.99, because it's cheaper than swap magic(40 buxor) and you get to cheeet.

I believe that you need v2.0 or older.

You need one of the old ones. i just figured that out after i bought a version 4. dont buy the new ones. either get a chip or swap magic.

Yes it is in fact version 2.0 or OLDER... does anyone know where I can get a 2.0 without buying online? (I know it is 2.0 or older cuz my friend has every version from the first one to 4.0 and everything 2.0 and before works... otherwise... its just a cheating device)

Try finding one off e-bay or a friend. Maybe some game shop might sell them. i noe that a toronto flea market would sell em.

Ebay is your best bet and yes make sure you get v2 or LESS.
