I been through this whole forum and others but I haven't found a single answer. For some reason every movie I downloaded off Emule, Overnet, Sharereactor, and Kazaa had bad sound. I checked with GSpot and it told me that I had all the necessary codecs. But the sound is fuzzy and the voices are hard to hear. But the background noise is loud like the music. In fact I can play mp3 and webstreams without any trouble. I configured the Ac3 settings to maximize the sound but it still didn't help. I used bsplayer, divx, and even realplayer. Same result. The movies are good integrity and the sound but the voices are low and I can't hear them.

Answer

I just had this issue, as a member before me did, I resolved it by installing the AC3 codec from sourceforge. I had 2 codecs installed, nero and ulead movie factory in which my player was using the nero codec, so installing the new one fixed the issue.
